The DFDX2 is one of the only vests that has a full chest strap, unlike others where it is split and attaches with velcro or clip. Then the chest strap opens or pulls away during swimming or jumping. The EzyDog DFDX2 stays on perfectly and is easy to remove. My only issue is the durability. I am on my third one since 2023 as they rip or degrade quickly. Granted, I do hang it on the pool fence during summer, so yes it is in the weather but I would have expected it to last at least two seasons. Will still buy replacements due to the great fit though.

This jacket fits comfortably and allows ease of movement (he loves a good belly flop entry) and supports his back end, keeping him properly balanced and high in the water while he swims. He often carries his ball in the water which means his mouth is slightly open and he used to swallow water. This jacket keeps his chin above the waterline. Clips fasten over the top of the material meaning I can get a snug fit without nipping any skin or fur and it's easy to put on and take off. Following TPLO surgery on both back legs, my dog had lost confidence in the water. He previously enjoyed swimming but no longer had the strength in his hind legs to stay afloat effectively and became reluctant to enter deeper water. This jacket has given an old dog his confidence back.

I used this life vest for my toy poodle for a a wildlife cruise in rough seas. It fit perfectly, was secure and sturdy. It made an enjoyable outing for canine and humans alike. The attachment points for LED light and lead were the icing on the cake
